These Herbs and Spices Could Help You Prevent Cancer

Aside from adding taste and flavor to our favorite dishes, herbs and spices also have cancer-preventive properties not everybody could be aware of. Scroll down here:



1. Garlic

Allium vegetables, like garlic, contains organosulfur compounds, the chemical with anti-carcinogenic and immune-strengthening qualities.

2. Mint

Mint contains phytochemical that could cut off the blood supply to cancer tumors.


3. Turmeric

Turmeric contains curcumin that contains anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, that can halt development of cancer. 

4. Black Pepper

Aside from its antioxidant properties, pepper has been found to inhibit the growth of cancerous stem cells of breast tumors.

5. Parsley

Parsley contains apigenine, a natural oil that cut off blood supply to cancerous tumors.

6. Chile Pepper

Chile pepper contains capsaicin, known to be a powerful antioxidant, toxic to cancer cells, specifically prostate cancer cells. 

7. Rosemary

Rosemary’s leaves contain fatty acids of terpenes, a natural substance that prevents the cancer cells in tumors to stop reproducing and eventually die.
